The complexity of the job was in the earth works as shown below; Heavy Earth works were involved as the structures are to be found on swampy ground, which is always watery hence necessitating reclamation with G7 and G15 material to minimize the effects of differential settlement. While ensuring a flat water table. Monitoring of the rate of settlement as well as how much settlement has been done. Due to the nature of the ground on which the buildings were being founded, the durability as well as the mechanical strength properties of the concrete and steel was a major factor. Hence it was necessary that the concrete acquires a high degree of hydration in relation to its ultimate degree of hydration in the quickest possible time, our technical expertise enabled us create design mixes to the meet C30/35 strength necessities.
